Planning Templates Before Audio Importing

Before any Hourly Templates are created, the initial planning of programming is necessary for an automation
system for Internet, Podcasting, terrestrial FM, AM, LPFM or University, College & High School broadcasts

The planning of audio for importing to the MAIN & SUB Tabs is vital prior to the IMPORT of audio.
This planning is necessary to make the Scheduler Grid sounding "Real Great" for automation.

Highly Recommended:
Pre-organize the music physically in Windows Exlporer before it is imported into the SUB TAB Hot Buttons
First: Create the MAIN TABS,  (Genres or Audio Types) then import audio into the SUB TABS (Categories).

Figure 1: Organize your music using Windows Explorer folders.
Examples show:
a) Currents & Non Currents Folders: These are Audio Types, in the DJB Studio Player shown as MAIN TABS
b) Pop_Female_Slow:   These are Categories whereby tempo, gender, group become SUB TABS in the PLAYER
c) Other examples:  male, female, categories, up-tempo, down-tempo

Once audio has been imported as directed above, users are ready to generate an hourly / daily schedule for testing.

Some ideas on organizing user's music for scheduling purposes

Audio Category Creation:  DJB Studio
These are used in the MAIN TABS and SUB TABS
Category naming is unique to each user as it's based on the format of the station and the program sound desired.

Programmers must Audio Type and Categorize the tabs with audio items that will be stored in the audio database.
Audio TypeMAIN TAB
These could be Audio Types such as:

Categories = SUB TAB
a) Power Cuts, Currents, Recurrent, Oldies, Classics, Christmas (as examples)
Additional: Power Cuts Uptempo,  Power Cuts Down Tempo and so on...

Note: This would allow the DJB Studio Scheduler Grid to pick Power Uptempo music titles to open or close a schedule hour
This all depends on the sound and tempo your Internet or radio station plans to have.
Other MAIN TAB names  or these could be SUB TABS under a Radio [MAIN TAB]
b) Bumpers
c) Station ID's / Imaging
d) Promo's
e) Commercials
f) Liners
g) News
f) Voice Tracks

If the separation of the music has been done as described above, let's proceed to the next step of Importing Audio.
Go to the  Importing Audio: Single & Batch Files topic section in this manual.
