Zip Files

If your download includes a zip file, the file will be unzipped after download; the files inside that zip will be processed as per your download item settings.

* in any process, the program first copies the file to local disk (from HTTP, FTP, etc), making a file list.
* then it evaluates those local file copies and if any of those files end in .zip, it will unzip it and add those files to the list to process (then the zip file is removed).
* once the unzipping is done, the processing happens to all files - so zipped file contents are processed like any other file.

So if you're copying x.mp3 and xtra.zip, and that .zip file has x2.mp3 and x3.mp3 in it, the end result will be a copy of x.mp3, x2.mp3, and x3.mp3 - the .zip is unzipped transparently and NOT copied.

In the example on the previous page the Zip file in the folder M:\SOURCE will be unzipped into the M:\DESTINATION\ folder.

Because no file name was specified in the Download To box, all of the files are unzipped and retain their original names.
