How To Setup Skimming

 

Skimming can be used in combination 24/7 or Selective Logging

 

It allows you to start and stop the recording from any serial controlled closure device

 

First setup the com port the device is installed on, you setup the com port options in the Serial Port setup section or a TCP Port

 

 

The next step is to enter the serial commands, if your device sends you a seperate command for starting and stopping the recording, you would need to enter the seperate commands in the start recording and stop recording fields. If the device sends the same command for starting and stopping the record you would enter it in the Toggle Rec on/Off field

 

Once the commands are entered you can press the Open and Test button

 

 

 

have your device send some test commands and you'll be able to see the commands coming from the device on the screen.

 

If the software gets a matching command you will see confirmation that the command is functioning.

 

This allows you to make sure everything is working before putting it into operation.
