How To Setup a Serial Port
To setup a Serial port for communicating to your serial controlled hardware you need to setup the serial ports in your system
In our example we're going to add a com port to use a Broadcast Tools SRC-16
To setup the serial port press Add...
On the New windows select the appropriate communication settings for the device
In our example the device is connected to Com 3 on the Machine
the Baud Rate, Pairity, Stop Bits and Datbits are all set by the reciving hardware, in our example the SRC-16, please refer to the hardware's manual for the correct settings
The last option of the Output line ending is also dependant on the hardware, If the device requies a carriage return, Line Feed or combination of the 2 you set those options here.
