Setting up a Private VPN (Comodo Unite)
Normally we would use the real world IP in the IVT Client software, but this requires port forwarding and configuring of your internet router, which is not always the easiest process. We will now use some free VPN Software to create a virtual Network across the internet to allow the On-Air and the IVT Client computer to communicate
Install Comodo Unite on your On-Air and setup your login
Once you have the software downloaded start the install Procedure
Press Next
Accept the License agreement and press Next
Unless your system is custom configured you will most likely leave this at the default settings and press next
Optional Info…fill out if you want to, press next
Last screen Press Install
The software will Install
If you get this warning, press install
Press Finish
Press Close
The software Window Comes up, now we need to register a new account
Press Register a New Account
The box to register a new account will appear
You will be giving the login info to all you Remote VoiceTrackers so make sure the email used is not a personal account.
Or try signing up for a hotmail or gmail account
When you have all the information filled out press register
You will get a confirmation pop up saying that an email will be sent to the address provided
Check your email and follow the instructions to activate your account
Once your account is activated go back to the program on your on-air machine
It should have loaded the user name and password for you, but if not use the email address and password you provided during your account setup
Check off the 3 options so the program will run and login whenever you reboot your on-air
Press Sign me in
Once the Program Signs you in the interface will look like this
The Setup on your on-air is complete…now we move to the client setup
Install Comodo on the Internet VoiceTrack Client Machine
Follow the same steps as above on the client machine except do not register a new account
Use the same username and password that we registered on the On-Air computer
Once Signed in Select the Networks Tab
You will see your onair machine and it’s direct IP we use this number in internet voicetracking
