Audio Conversion

As files are copied, they can be modified as well, depending on the conversion settings (found in the Event Edit Dialog). If audio files are converted, these settings are used:

Recording Format

·     File Format. This is the coding format for the destination file, such as PCM Wave, AAC, Mp2, Mp3 etc. The drop-down box will show you the settings available on your computer
·     Output Channels. Stereo or Mono output choice.
·     Frequency. A selection list of available output frequencies.
·     Encode Format. A drop down list of settings for the specific file format. For example, selecting MP3 will display a selection of bit-rates here.
·     Normalize. While converting you can normalize audio, ranging from 0db and down. Typical values might be -3db or -6db.
·     Use .WAV extension for .MP2 files. If you are encoding to MP2 format, and need the file extension to be .wav instead of .mp2, check this.
