Edit I/O Controls

Edit I/O controls is where you will set up satellite shows, music formats, talk shows, etc….
Any Show that is hooked to your Digital I/O Switcher and has input triggers (relays) can be setup in this section.
If a show does not have any Input triggers, you do not need to set it up in this section.
You can program inputs 1 through 16 to execute a command, play a cut, or play a Muti-Cut Cart.

Show List

1. Show List
There are 100 available I/O (Input/Output) sets.
I/O number zero (0) defaults to "System Closures," and is basically used when no satellite shows are active.
Numbers 1-99 can be created as needed for various satellite shows although the Joe Schmoe show is in the list at first look.
These numbers are then plugged into the Satellite Grid to turn the relays for that show on.
Closures can be copied and pasted using the buttons at the bottom to duplicate a show.

Inputs 1-16

3. Inputs 1-16

In the center, the first column labeled "File or Word" consists of 16 boxes that represent the 16 inputs that DJB Radio can receive from your I/O device.
If you are using a broadcast Tools switcher with 16 PIP inputs then they PIP numbers correspond directly to these boxes.

You can type a Cut number in this box and when the Input is triggered, that audio file will play on the Satellite Triggered channel set in the On Air Settings.
If you don't know the cut number you can click the browse button [...] and choose it from the event library.

You can also type in one of the Valid Command words from the list on the far right.

In the Description box you should type something meaningful for that relay input to indicate its purpose.

Output Relays

4. Output Relays
To the right of the Description box are 16 checkboxes that correspond to Output Relays.
You can use the output relays to trigger an external device when the input is triggered by the satellite relay.

Commands
List
This box shows the commands recognized by DJB Radio for use with satellite I/O triggers.

9700 or the word PLAY
These Commands will simply play the currently highlighted event on the On Air screen.  Input 1 always performs this task.  It's meant to act as a remote segue button.
========================
1 to 29999 and 31000-99999
These Commands will tell the program to fire the audio cut entered into this field when the input is triggered.
========================
30000 to 30999
These Commands will fire a multiple cut cart when the input is triggered.
========================
9701 or the word AUTO
These Commands will play the next event and then place the system into the Automated mode to continue playing audio cuts until a jock assist command is seen in the On Air screen.
========================
STOP
This Command will place the system in the Jock Assist Mode so it can await the next trigger from the satellite network.
========================
SPORTS
This command will tell the Sports Interface Program to play the next stop set.
========================
SportsOFF
This will end the usage of the sports interface program so you can go back to normal programming.  It will automatically place the system into the Automated Mode.
